This resource is designed for AVCE ICT Unit 20 and AS Media Studies. There are many uses for this site, both for students and teachers.

We decided to design this site after teaching these courses for several years, and discovering that the same problems came up every time. From a teaching point of view, this gives an overview of all the elements and can be a scheme of work if done in the order shown on the separate navigation. You could, of course, just dip in to the area that you want back up resources for – such as scripting or shot types.

From a student’s perspective, this can be a ‘how to’ guide that can keep them on track through the unit of work. We have included clips from our students’ work to show how other students tackled this unit. We think that you really can’t fail to do a better editing job than our ‘two versions’, and that the check lists will help you to plan work. Poor planning leads to a poor performance, which is why we have given lots of framework materials.
