Creating an ePortfolio

Resources

Students create an e-portfolio to showcase their literacy work, using a mixture of text, graphics and sound.  They should consider their audience and fitness for purpose.  They should also be aware of design elements and refining the design before building a multimedia product.

This unit links to the DTP unit that students will work on in Year 7 and also links in with Unit 6A ‘Multimedia Presentation in the KS2 scheme of work.

Most pupils will use a multimedia-authoring package to organise, refine and present a set of linked multimedia pages, which incorporate images, sounds and text. Those progressing further will use a multimedia package to organise, refine and present a set of linked multimedia pages, which incorporates images, sound and text matched to the needs of their audience. Some pupils will make slower progress and will use their multimedia authoring package to assemble images, sound and text on a multimedia page.
