This resource covers two terms worth of studies on 'Black Peoples in the USA, intended for teachers of Year 8 [Key Stage 3] students.

The resource focuses on three areas which can be offered to the students as stand-alone topics each comprising around 5 hours of activities, or followed in chronological sequence to provide a comprehensive study of the African-Americans.

If used in sequence, the first area begins in Africa before Slavery and ends in 2003 when three black actors won major Oscars!
