La drogue en France

ARGUMENTATION (2-3 lessons) The PowerPoint presentation (argumentation) was inspired by a project published on Teachnet (http://www.teachnet-uk.org.uk/2004%20Projects/CC-Thinking%20Hats/thinking-hats/index.htm) using the De Bono thinking hats method, when students approach a problem from a specific perspective in order to build various view points. This exercise is meant to help students build their final argument by addressing the pros and cons of what is happening in France. Ask students to choose a “hat” that would not exemplify their own personality so they have to put themselves in “someone else’s shoes” to focus on how the government is addressing the problem of drug abuse. When completed, all arguments are to be shared so each student can construct a personal, balanced, final comment.
