ACTIVITY 4
Creative writing

Presentation

Use this to print off the 9 pictures and create flashcards.  Choose one of the pictures and stick it on the whiteboard to use as an example. Tell the students that the image is one from a film they have seen. Encourage them to create a profile of the film; including title, language, where it takes place, genre, plot, and for stronger students, how well they rate the movie with reasons.  Write these notes up on the whiteboard in the target language.

Then students work in groups. Each group is handed one of the other film flashcards, be sure to stress that this flashcard is secret and they must not show it to anyone outside of their group.  They use the model on the whiteboard to help them build up a film profile for their picture in the target language. When this is completed they should write it out on a piece of paper and hand it in to the teacher.

On the data projector / IWB you should have the final slide of the PowerPoint on display. When you have all the film profiles handed in, re-distribute them so that each group has one that they have not written themselves. They then have to try to match the description with the correct picture on the whiteboard.
