About Esther Hardman

Esther is a Teacher of French and Spanish at the Weald of Kent Grammar School. As part of her role she provides departmental ICT support to colleagues. Through her role as Regional Trainer for the delivery of the KS2 MFL Framework, she also provides outreach support to local Primary Schools.

Esther is a keen attendee of her local MFL e-learning group, taking part in projects developed by the group and meeting on a regular basis to share best practice.

As a potential associate of ‘SpeakersBank’ and an experienced public speaker with ‘Toastmasters International’, Esther is keen to develop these skills in her students and constantly seeks to new ways to incorporate this aim within her teaching. In addition, Esther’s ICT skills enable her to create an innovative and interactive classroom environment.

About Katie Clemmey

Katie is a Head of Department and Teacher of RE and Sociology at the Weald of Kent Grammar School. She is currently in her 4th year of teaching following a PGCE course at Canterbury Christ Church University.

At Weald of Kent, Katie works as a Leading Teacher in ICT, supporting teachers within the school to develop their use of ICT to facilitate teaching and learning. In addition she takes part in local ICT Cluster meetings to keep up to date with ICT developments within the local area and to develop project ideas with other schools. Until Sept she also ran the local RE e-learning group for the Tonbridge Cluster. This group meets regularly to share good practice, using ICT within RE and to provide training for teachers to encourage ICT use.

In addition, Katie has a keen interest in personalised learning and works as a ‘Learning Coach’ at the Weald of Kent. This role is aimed at working alongside fellow teachers to develop a more ‘process-based’ approach to teaching and learning.
