This unit of work is made up of nine one hour lessons which are to be taught consecutively. It has been planned so that Year 5 or 6 children (9 - 11 years) can work independently, in small groups, researching an area of the overall topic on the Ancient Greeks then feedback via a slide show presentation to the rest of the class. It is a unit that builds on personalised learning. The unit is closely linked to QCA Unit 14 Who were the Ancient Greeks?

During this project children will:

-Navigate the internet

-Complete research tasks

-Produce a slide show

-Work co-operatively

-Become an expert in one area of Ancient Greek lifestyle and culture
