Introduction

The PowerPoint 2003 presentations included in this project were developed to be used at the start of Mathematics lessons to help improve the speed and accuracy with which pupils could solve a range of calculation problems.

They were originally devised for use with UK pupils in Year 3 but could easily be adapted for use with children of other ages and abilities and in other locations. The stated Learning Objectives relate directly to those included in the Renewed Framework for Mathematics in England - see the DCSF Standards Site for more details.
