Assessment for Art
Level 2
Pupils have the opportunity to express and communicate their own ideas using art materials and 3D card modelling techniques. They will investigate the work of other peoples and cultures.
Level 3
Pupils will gain experience in using different art materials to communicate their ideas. They will make artefacts for a purpose. They could compare and contrast their own work with that of others.
Level 4
Pupils will have the opportunity explore ideas and information to develop their intentions, They will be able to use materials to suit their intentions when designing and making. Pupils will make comment on the craft work of the Dogon tribe.
Level 5
Pupils will have the opportunity to take creative risks. They will develop their knowledge and skills in manipulating materials when designing and making. They will have opportunities to evaluate their own and others work.
Level 6
Pupils have opportunities to accept creative risks, independently and inventively. They could interpret and explain how ideas and meanings are conveyed by crafts people. Pupils can make reasoned evaluations of the purpose and meaning of their work.
