Spying and sabotaging another player
Remember, spy Rating is used for three things:
a) Reconnaissance, b)Sabotaging the weapons of others,
c) Looking for gold. It is often a good idea to spy on your opponent before attacking otherwise you might lose and do damage to your fighting force and lose an attack turn with no return in gold.
a) Reconnaissance is spying on an enemy to see their stats. If you succeed, you will see, in whole or in part, details of the army size, Military stats, Treasury and weaponry held by the other player. This will help you decide whether or not to attack.
b) Sabotaging is attempting to destroy the Attack or Defence weapons of another player. The higher your Spy rating, and the lower their Sentry Rating, the higher your rate of success will be.
c) If your Spy rating is high enough, you can look at the accounts of other players and see directly how much gold they have (without having to spy them). If you look through the battlefield page, you can see their gold if your spy rating is 4 times their Sentry rating. If you click on their account, you can see their gold if your spy rating is twice their Sentry rating.
Spying and sabotaging is done in the same way as attacking (except that you
don't click the same link obviously). One of the big benefits is that you
don't need to wait for any attack turns for either Spying or Sabotaging other players
On the same sub-page where you can attack another player you can also spy on them. Below the attack option you will see "Reconnaissance Mission" and "Sabotage Mission". If you want to recon, click "Send Spies".
If you want to Sabotage, select the weapon of the other player that you want to sabotage, fill in the number of these weapons and a box where you have to fill in the letter/number combination that is on the left of the box. Once you have filled in everything, click "Send Spies" to actually try to sabotage.
