Introduction and demonstration

Discussion - relative strengths and weaknesses of each race in the game - students choose their race that they want to fight with.

Students enrol onto the game using link provided by teacher. This means that all of the students will be under the "command" of the teacher.

Discussion - best ways in which to invest initial 150,000 gold

  • which weapons to buy
  • how many attack and defence specialists might be trained
  • whether to train some spies and sentries from the outset

Homework - students continue game play at home. Teacher can now communicate with all students via the game interface as students will be "officers" under the teacher's "command" and this need not take place in lesson time either. This will now promote electronic communications between classmates and teacher.
