This project provides a study guide for the GCSE English [AQA English A and AQA English Literature A] examination.

There are 3 exam papers:  Paper 1 English, Paper 2 English and an English Literature paper.  And so, there are 3 revision booklets and charts attached which have been designed for each of these papers - they can be copied and distributed to students or used as a teaching resource. 

A Powerpoint presentation drives the revision section for the Cluster One poems which are studied for English Paper 2 and can be used as a whole class teaching resource.

The resource can also be used by teachers not following the AQA English examination as there is generic information on how to answer a poetry comparison both in the Powerpoint presentation and the booklet for Paper 2.  In the booklet for Paper 1 there is information on how to analyse non-fiction/media texts.  Both booklets contain information on writing triplets.  In addition, the Literature booklet contains generic information on analysing a prose text.
