French KS3 Year 7 Modules 1 and 2

Moi et j'habite ici

iconI have been teaching French to the students and producing the relevant references booklets for Modules 1 and 2 for students to have access to the vocabulary and structures that we are using in class, and help them when they are doing their projects.

We are also refering to the outline for year 7 in term 2 when planning in our department.

In order to practise numbers, I have been using the document 'le milliard'

Project based learning ideas:

Topic 1: Moi

  • Write a birthday card to any member of the Simpsons Family.
  • Badges: create a funny badge with funny language
  • Powerpoint, poster or leaflet on introducing the members of the Simpsons’ family in the TL.
  • Imagine what a Spanish/French Simpson family would be like and make a poster/Powerpoint/ on their physical description, family…
  • Famous Spanish/French person research and interview/description on Powerpoint/poster/MovieMaker

Topic 2: j’habite ici

  • Spreadsheet/pie-chart on places where your classmates live
  • Carry out a survey about how people help at home and design a spreadsheet and pie-chart to illustrate your findings.
  • Design a poster/leaflet on your house and label them in French.
