Christine tells us ...
"I was born in Bourges in France a long time ago! I moved to England (Oxford) in 1975 when I got married to an English man. We stayed in Oxford for 7 years, I passed my PGCE in 1977 at Westminster College Oxford and had my first job in a girls' grammar school in Aylesbury, I stopped for quite a while to look after my 2 children (girls - Lucy and Emily) who are both bilingual. They are now grown up and both live in London, one works for Hobbs as a creative marketing Assistant and the other one is a graphic designer.
We moved to Sheffield in 1982, I still live there. I have been working in Notre Dame High school since 1992. I am very interested in IT; our school has College Technology status therefore we have a lot of computers which are used widely.
We make great use of IT in our department. In the last 2/3 years, I have developed a lot of IT resources for my department and have already got one project on teachnet for year 7. I believe very much in the use of IT to teach languages in order to motivate pupils. I like sharing what I produce with everybody in my department and other departments and schools. I have started teaching NVQ Business French and have also produced a lot of interactive resources for that which I have shared with other Sheffield Schools."
