The resources in this project follow and support the use of the Expo 1 book for the teaching of French. The slides in the presentations can be used as an alternative to using the book; some of the slides now have embedded sounds.

The interactive Powerpoint files [in Slide Show view] can be used for whole class teaching, but also for individual/paired work, although teachers will need to ensure that their students have access to headphones to appreciate the sounds. The various games are very useful for consolidation: this year, Christine has introduced games produced with Linguamate - the cloze exercises are particularly good. The Spellmaster games have embedded sound relevant for each of the units.

The interlex is very useful for learning vocabulary.  Pupils test themselves in three different ways – multiple choice, in English and in French [the hardest].  This is self-correcting and pupils can see their progress. A camtasia recording explains how the Interlex should be used, and how teachers and students can create their own Interlex vocabulary.

Teachers should read the explanations of how the Powerpoint files should be used and then look at the overview of the whole Module for how the presentations support the units.
