"My journey into using ICT has been a slow and tentative one. However, last year I was timetabled with my GCSE English class in a computer room that only had an interactive whiteboard. Also, the class that I was teaching contained a mixture of EAL students and poor attendees. Using power points and ICT to facilitate lessons and share ideas enabled the poor attendees to easily catch up on work missed and it supported the EAL students when they worked on their own with language support staff.

The use of Powerpoint has also enabled me to organise my planning effectively and has thus helped me structure my lessons better. I now use this method of planning with many classes and feel that my use of ICT supports their learning and helps them produce better work."
