This piece of work is to support the study of English Literature pre 1914 at Key Stage 4 and will require 7 to 8 weeks to cover. The resource contains suggested activities and a Powerpoint presentation for the study of Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen.

In order to deliver this unit, you will need to ensure that your students have use of the internet, use of the school library, access to the Pride and Prejudice film. access to the Becoming Jane film, the BBC's adaptation of Pride and Prejudice [1989], the Pride and Prejudice novel or printed chapters [suggested chapters are 1-7, 20-21 and 27-28] and finally, an essay plan.

Working through the sessions as per the left hand menu and sheets of activities will provide you with a sound approach to this unit.
