French KS3 Year 7 Modules 5 and 6

Ma ville et ma routine

I have been teaching French to the students and producing the relevant reference booklet 5 and I have also decided to split the both modules and create a reference booklet 6 for students to have access to the vocabulary and structures that we are using in class, and help them when they are doing their projects.

Project based learning ideas:

Topic 5: ma ville et region

  • Record a description of your town using Audacity and broadcast it on radio.
  • Research Spanish speaking countries and present one of them.
  • Design a poster/ leaflet on your town and your region and label them in French/ Spanish

Topic 6: Routine/ Shopping/ Going out

  • Write an invitation to or for one of the Simpsons for a special occasion.
  • Powerpoint presentation on likes and dislikes for food & drinks.
  • Powerpoint presentation on the ideal school in Springfield.
  • Present a diary of a typical day at school in Springfield, finding out information on the web.
  • Write out a shopping list for a party with quantities.
  • Advertise a restaurant in Springfield.
  • Design a menu for a restaurant in Springfield.
  • Shop on the internet to get ready for Bart’s birthday party with a factual budget.
  • Talk about what a Spanish/ French Simpsons family would do when they go out, would eat in a restaurant…etc under the form of a poster/Powerpoint/leaflet/video …
