The presentation revises the masculine word endings learned last lesson, and then introduces common feminine noun endings. It then allows the students to put into practice what they have learned by deciding whether countries are masculine or feminine, and then looks at ‘en’, ‘au’ and ‘aux’.
The two swf files called ‘Continuun rift’ are only meant to enhance the presentation by adding some impressive animation and therefore, serve little purpose when opened separately. They just need to be downloaded and saved in the same folder as the presentation.
The country quiz, snakes and triple games can be used to test students' understanding of masculine/feminine rules with countries. These can be played individually on computers, or as a class with a projector/interactive whiteboard.
The spreadsheet tests whether the students have understood 'en', 'au' and 'aux' usage. Students select the correct word from the drop down menu. If they have selected the correct word, the column on the right will change to ‘vrai' but won't change if they select the wrong option! This can be done individually on computers, or as a class with a projector/interactive whiteboard.
Finally, there is a gap fill pdf which will also test whether students have understood the topic so far.
