The presentation asks the students to categorise words for places in town as masculine or feminine and then revisits ‘à la’, ‘au’ and ‘aux’.

The two swf files called ‘City Skyline ’ are only meant to enhance the presentation by adding some impressive animation and therefore, serve little purpose when opened separately. They just need to be downloaded and saved in the same folder as the presentation.

The places in town quiz, snakes and triple can all be used to test whether pupils have understood the masculine/feminine rules with places in town. These can be done individually on computers, or as a class with a projector / interactive whiteboard.
