These are a series of sessions that can be used as Gifted and Talented Mathematics Resources.  Although originally designed for year 7, they can be used throughout KS3 and can either form individual lessons throughout the school year or they could be used in lunchtime or afterschool clubs.

The original focus was upon the Mathematics of Ancient Times and from that we investigated a series of number systems, including the Mayan, Babylonian, Egyptian number systems then found two extensions in the Binary number system and then the Mathematics of Archimedes.
