Teaching languages in primary school is now a requirement; however different schools have different set-ups. Specialist teacher, foreign language assistant or non-specialist teacher all have challenges to face: lack of subject knowledge, adapting to a younger audience, or difficulty in creating varied and interactive exercises that mainly develop the aural / oral form.

I am a specialist teacher coming from a secondary background, so it was a bit of a shock to teach years 3 and 4, let alone year 1 children! So I have compiled resources, ideas and material that may help specialist and non-specialist teachers [sound files] and give them a starting point.
