About Christine ...
"I was born in Bourges in France and moved to England (Oxford) in 1975 when I married an English man. We stayed in Oxford for 7 years; I passed my PGCE in 1977 at Westminster College Oxford and had my first job in a girls' grammar school in Aylesbury.
I stopped for quite a while to look after my 2 children (girls - Lucy and Emily) who are both bilingual. They are now grown up and both live in London, one works for Hobbs as a creative marketing Assistant and the other one is a graphic designer.
We moved to Sheffield in 1982 and I still live there and have been working at Notre Dame High school since 1992. I am very interested in IT; our school has College Technology status and its many computers are used widely. We make great use of IT in our department. In the last 4 years, I have developed a number of IT resources for my department.
I believe very much in the use of IT to teach languages in order to motivate pupils. I like sharing what I produce with everybody in my department and other departments and schools. I have started teaching NVQ Business French and have also produced a lot of interactive resources for that which I have shared with other Sheffield Schools.
