Each unit provides a set of questions for children to answer and a web link where they can research the answer. The aim is to improve children's scientific knowledge and vocabulary, whilst at the same time improving their ICT and research skills. The units are closely linked to the Year 6 QCA units.

This unit of 10 one hour lessons are designed so that Year 4 [8/9 year olds] can work independently in small groups and/or as a whole class to investigate temperature as a measure of how hot or cold objects are and the role that thermal insulators play.

Topic 4 - Powerpoint-based revision

This resoure covers the complete Edexcel GCSE science syllabus and comprises a series of presentations which serve to introduce a new module to the students and to provide testing after the module has been taught.

Through the use of self-assessment games and activities, this project focuses on the study of basic genetics for GCSE Science and the reasons for variation within species of plants and animals.

These activities are suitable for both KS3 and KS4 work with metals. They will both reinforce the learning whilst also providing revision exercise.
